Library and Archives Canada Presents the Virtual Exhibition "Celebrating B.C. Culture"

OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 04/21/09 -- Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is proud to present the virtual exhibition Celebrating B.C. Culture, a dynamic cultural event showcasing a particular region of the country. From April 21 to May 3, 2009, the spotlight will be on British Columbia. The virtual exhibition features samples from the abundant and varied LAC collection of historical and current works by British Columbia artists.

The LAC has created a website called Celebrating B.C. Culture, which gives all Canadians across the country the opportunity to experience the diversity of the province's contemporary artistic culture. As in previous years, this joint effort by the LAC and the National Arts Centre (NAC) will highlight the culture of a particular region. This year, the arts and culture of British Columbia will be celebrated during the NAC event BC Scene.

If you are a lover of music, photography, literature, theatre or dance, then this website has something for you!

You can visit the virtual exhibition and consult the complete program of the activities held in Ottawa and across the Outaouais region during this entertaining multidisciplinary festival at:

About the National Arts Centre

Situated in the heart of the nation's capital across Confederation Square from Parliament Hill, the Centre is among the largest performing arts complexes in Canada. It is unique as the only multidisciplinary, bilingual performing arts centre in North America and features one of the largest stages on the continent. Officially opened on June 2, 1969, the National Arts Centre was one of the key institutions created by Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson as the principal centennial project of the federal government.

About BC Scene

From April 21 to May 3, 2009, 600 artists from B.C. will take over the arts and culture scene in the National Capital region in a 13-day festival featuring over 90 different events. The National Arts Centre is inviting B.C.'s most dynamic artists to create a portrait of the province's cultural diversity at the beginning of the 21st century. Musicians, actors, dancers, visual and media artists, writers, storytellers and master chefs will come together for a festival that showcases and above all celebrates a region.

We all love the many benefits of natural plant oils, used as a deap treatment before shampooing, at home or at the beach, but is there an all-in-one solution for everyday intensive nutrition and modern styling?I am passionate about the benefits of natural extracts with tried-and-tested results, which I have used to develop my own brand (lemon for its acid ph, wheat germ for its fortifying action…). I wanted a product which combined caring and styling effects, and which could be used after shampo...
