DNC Selected to Implement DISN at Naval Office

Network intended to help plan deployments

The Naval Circuit Management Office has selected Data Networks Corp. to implement and manage the Pentagon's Defense Information System Network.

DNC will also provide support services and long distance communications for the Department of the Navy, DNC says.

Under the contract, DNC will be required to plan reserve and contingent military unit deployments and also to test and evaluate communications equipment, network and provisioning requirements.

DNC will also provide technical documentation support related to DISN inventory management and create, operate and manage databases related to circuits provisioning and continued operations support.
