Xirrus to Serve as Exclusive Wi-Fi Provider at Interop New York 2013

Xirrus to Support Thousands of Attendees and Exhibitors at Conference, Expo, and Multi-Vendor Showcase, Across 675,000 Square-Foot Jacob J. Javits Center

THOUSAND OAKS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/30/13 -- Xirrus®, the leader in high-performance wireless networks, today announced that it is the exclusive provider of wireless Internet access at Interop New York 2013 (Sept. 30 - Oct. 4), New York's largest IT event. For the third consecutive year, Xirrus will provide high-speed network connectivity to thousands of attendees and exhibitors at the Interop Conference and Expo, across the 675,000 square-foot Jacob K. Javits Center.

Interop New York offers a combination of educational content, a dynamic exhibition of technology providers, and peer network to IT professionals across all industries. As the sole Wi-Fi provider, Xirrus will ensure thousands of IT leaders have reliable connectivity to the wireless network in a high-density environment supporting thousands of concurrent users utilizing smartphones, tablets and laptops. Comprehensive wireless coverage will support 125 expert-led sessions, covering topics such as security, big data, cloud computing and software defined networking.

Xirrus will also support InteropNet, a multi-vendor showcase delivering practical answers to today's IT challenges. The InteropNet running on WLAN provided by Xirrus demonstrates the potential of interoperability by providers 6connect, Avaya, Brocade, CenturyLink, Cloudpath Networks, Cormant, cPacket networks, Ekahau, Emulex, F5 Networks, Fluke Networks, HP, Net Optics, NetScout Systems, Inc., Network Hardware Resale, Opengear, ScienceLogic, Server Technology, Tali-f Systems, WildPackets, and Xirrus. Volunteers from these leading companies will share best practices and host classes on the network.

The Xirrus network will enable Ekahau to track IT equipment and Ekahau Vision, helping Interop's managers analyze traffic patterns and plan for future events.
