Carpathia Hosting Announces 10-City Tour to Recognize Tech Heroes

Enterprise Hosting Company to Hold Free Events with JAMBOX and Playstation 4 Giveaways

DULLES, Va., Sept. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Carpathia Hosting, a leading provider of managed hosting and cloud services for government agencies and enterprises, will embark on a 10-city tour to recognize "tech heroes" around the country. Tech heroes are those who work around the clock to ensure the world's most important web properties and applications are available to end-users 24 hours a day. This coast-to-coast tour begins in D.C. on Oct. 3 and will stop in nine other cities through the end of November.

Tech Hero Tour dates include:

"Over the past couple of months, we have recognized numerous tech heroes, and this 10-city tour will recognize many more.  No longer will those managing the lifeblood of the Internet go unrecognized, because anyone, anywhere can nominate their favorite tech hero today," said Brian Winter, chief marketing officer at Carpathia Hosting. "Tech heroes deserve events that are different from anything else currently out there. They are fun, smart and unique individuals, and that is what the events will mimic."

The Tech Hero Tour will offer free food and drinks in each city for current tech heroes, plus friends and the general public to enjoy. There will be a tech hero-themed photo booth plus other engaging activities to entertain guests while they discover their inner tech hero talents. Attendees can also participate in Finders Keepers, a game where items will be strategically placed around each city, and the first one to find them gets to keep them. Hot prizes include one Jawbone JAMBOX Bluetooth speaker giveaway at each event and one Playstation 4 grand prize giveaway at the end of the tour.

"Join us in our search for tech heroes across America," Winter said. "If you will be in or near any of these cities in the coming months, we want to meet you and hear your stories!"

To celebrate these tech heroes, Carpathia is looking to collect hundreds of tech hero stories at www.carpathia.com/hero through the end of the year. Tech heroes can submit their own stories, or those who have benefitted from their expertise can nominate a hero as well. Every tech hero receives an official Tech Hero shirt or a Tech Hero Backpack filled with everything a tech hero needs including a Zoom Energy Square™ charger, Amazon.com gift card, Red Bull™, a Moleskin™ notebook, operations toolkit and more.

Top tech hero stories will be featured on the tech hero website. There are currently over 60 tech heroes listed on the site, from web developers to IT analysts, and engineers to administrators.
