Seasoned Company Veterans to Lead Expanded Growth and Strategy for Defense Sector in National and International Markets

SAN MATEO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/20/13 -- AtHoc, Inc. (www.athoc.com), the pioneer and leader in interactive crisis communication and emergency mass notification, today announced the promotions of Dave Brown to VP of the AtHoc Defense and Intelligence Group (ADIG) and Andy Anderson to VP of Worldwide Business Development for the defense sector. Brown and Anderson, retired colonels of the Army and Air Force respectively, bring exceptional credentials and hands-on experience to AtHoc's defense sector initiatives, having overseen the company's defense operations and market share expansion since the late 2000s.

As VP of ADIG, Brown will be responsible for all AtHoc programs within the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence community. He is chartered with overseeing the group's growth and expansion as well as implementation and ongoing operational support for AtHoc's interactive crisis communication solutions at some of AtHoc's largest and most mission-critical customer deployments. Brown, a retired Army Colonel, joined AtHoc in 2008 as Director of Army Programs where his primary focus was to expand AtHoc's market share within the U.S. Army, fulfilling emergency notification requirements at military facilities and installations across all geographic regions.

In his new role as VP of Worldwide Business Development - Defense, Andy Anderson will lead the company's expansion into military and defense organizations around the world as well as spearhead strategic business development initiatives within the U.S. DoD. Anderson, a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, joined AtHoc in 2007 and has held the title of VP of U.S. Defense where he led the company to significant growth in the defense sector and directed AtHoc's defense-related business development activities.

"As the defense and intelligence sectors continue to be a major strategic focus and market share expansion opportunity for AtHoc's crisis communication technologies, Dave and Andy will continue to play a pivotal role in our company's growth both nationally and internationally," said Guy Miasnik, AtHoc CEO and president. "These highly capable executives bring extensive strategic relationships, leadership strength and unparalleled experience to their new roles and both are well-equipped to help drive AtHoc to an even more formidable leadership advantage in this critical sector, now on a global basis."

The ADIG currently supports an extensive portfolio of enterprise and agency-level customer agreements. These include enterprise-wide deployments across the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and virtually all active duty and reserve U.S. Air Force personnel as well as major portion of the U.S. Army, multiple DoD, and Intelligence agencies and Combatant Commands. ADIG provides oversight and operational management of integrated deployments of AtHoc's platform that deliver a host of mission-critical functionality, including unified mass notification, personnel accountability, common operating picture (COP), personalized situational awareness and emergency incident reporting (a.k.a. the "See Something Say Something"). AtHoc systems currently protect more than two million military, federal government, and homeland security personnel deployed across major government agencies.
