Mind Over Machines and The Seva Group Announce Merger

Mind Over Machines, Inc., a Maryland-based provider of consulting and information technology services to commercial and government clients, and The Seva Group, a provider of technology services to commercial and government clients, executed a purchase agreement yesterday whereby Mind Over Machines acquired the assets of The Seva Group.

Mind Over Machines now comprises one of the largest IT consultancies serving the Mid-Atlantic region, offering clients a deeper, stronger team with expanded breadth of services and market solutions. Tom Loveland retains his role as CEO of Mind Over Machines. Chris Long, formerly president of The Seva Group, becomes executive vice president and a shareholder of Mind Over Machines. Other executives of both firms retain their positions.

“We are extremely fortunate that our executive teams are perfectly complementary,” said Loveland. “Since founding Mind Over Machines more than 20 years ago, I have continuously sought to assemble the smartest and most productive team possible in order to help our clients succeed. The Seva Group represents an outstanding addition of talent and resources to Mind Over Machines. To attract the best people, we have to offer the best work environment and the best career opportunities. Acquisition of The Seva Group enhances our solution offerings, enlarges our markets, and creates more opportunities for our talented team to grow and prosper.”

“This is absolutely a win for all involved,” said Chris Long, founder and CEO of The Seva Group. “Our clients will be better supported with additional solutions, talent and business expertise. The combined firm enjoys increased financial resources that will open doors that had been closed to the individual companies. Our employees are excited by the new opportunities for professional growth and additional positive impact they can have for our clients. Expect greatness from the new Mind Over Machines.”
