VIENNA, Va., Nov. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The President & CEO of MicroTech Tony Jimenez has been appointed to the Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy (HJHP) Executive Advisory Board. Jimenez was selected for his business success, leadership and continued dedication to the Hispanic Community.
According to their website, the Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy (HJHP), published by the John F. Kennedy School of Government (Harvard Kennedy School) at Harvard University, was founded in 1985 and is an annual graduate student-run, non-partisan review that publishes interdisciplinary works on politics and policy-making as these topics affect the Latino community in the United States of America.
"It is an honor to be appointed and I look forward to being a part of the HJHP as it carries out its mission to address issues related to the U.S. Latino community's political, social and economic development," said Jimenez.
The largest Hispanic-Owned IT Integrator in the U.S., MicroTech provides Technology Services, Network Systems Integration, Product Solutions, Cloud Computing, Unified Communications & Collaboration, Cyber Security, Mobility, and Social Media Solutions as well as leadership/management skills courses, business simulations and vital industry certifications as part of MicroTech University to commercial enterprises, along with the public sector — managing more than half-a-million technology users daily. A prime contractor of over 100 Federal projects and more-than-25 procurement vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 2500 vendors and a million technology products and services across the government.
Other appointees announced this month include Ms. Alejandra Campoverdi, Senior Advisor, Innovation and Communications Strategy for Univision Network News, Hon. Grace Flores-Hughes, the first woman to serve as the Director/Assistant Attorney General of the Community Relations Office at the Department of Justice, and Ms. Alma Guajardo-Crossley, Director for Diversity Initiatives at General Motors.
"I have always had a great admiration for the people and policy perspectives of the Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy," said Ms. Campoverdi. "As former Senior Editor for Interviews at HJHP, it is a special privilege to serve on the Board. I look forward to working with Hon. Grace Flores-Hughes, Mr. Jimenez, Ms. Guajardo-Crossley, and the other Executive Advisory Board members to advance the mission of HJHP."
Jimenez serves on many other boards including the U.S. Department of Commerce National Advisory Council on Minority Business Enterprise, the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. - Mexico Chamber of Commerce, and the Latino Donor Collaborative.
