Evolve IP, The Cloud Services Company™, today announced that The John M. Glover Agency, a national insurance agency, and Grudi Associates, an information technology company, relied on its redundant cloud platform to run their businesses remotely during Hurricane Sandy. Employing Evolve IP’s award-winning virtual server and virtual desktop cloud computing services, both organizations were able to access all of their key systems and data to proactively service customers while the storm raged on.
As the superstorm bore down on the mid-Atlantic coast, associates at both firms were able to take advantage of Evolve IP’s virtualization services to stay safe and productive from home. Running Evolve IP’s Evolved Office for virtual desktops, and accessing the Evolved Data Center for virtual servers, employees had full access to applications like Office, QuickBooks, ACT, and proprietary databases, helping them stay in constant communication with customers and prospects.
“Evolve IP’s services were 100 percent glitch-free,” said John Forlivio, President and CEO of The John M. Glover Agency. “We have 150 agents using Evolve IP’s virtual desktop (VDI) solution, and they didn’t skip a beat. We also tapped into Evolve IP’s unified communications systems and were accessing voicemail from email to take claims on Tuesday morning. All-in-all Evolve IP made our jobs much easier and made for a more pleasant experience during a tough time.”
“While Sandy was knocking businesses out left and right we didn’t miss a beat, thanks to Evolve IP’s cloud services,” said Walt Grudi, President of Grudi Associates. “As the storm approached, we sent our employees home to be safe, knowing everyone had access to all the information they needed via our virtualized applications. Once folks got home, they simply logged in via laptops, iPads, and Android tablets. Evolve IP is the leading cloud services provider for a reason: Its technology is superior and the support team is second to none.”
“There is widespread devastation across our region, and our thoughts are with all of those affected. Our customer, The John M. Glover Agency, services this area directly and its offices, agents, and clients were hit incredibly hard during the storm,” said Tim Allen, Chief Sales Officer of Evolve IP. “Ensuring the agency had remote access to its data and applications in order to handle claims were of paramount importance. Evolve IP’s proprietary cloud platform delivered, and we are pleased to be able to help this difficult situation in a small way.”
“We are pleased that our cloud services enabled Grudi Associates to keep its business running as usual,” said Joe Corvaia, Senior Vice President of Evolve IP. “Grudi is not only a customer, it is a great IT partner that has established long-term relationships with businesses, not-for-profits, and government agencies. We’re very sorry for the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy and the lives it has impacted. As businesses rebuild, they will place renewed importance on business continuity, and it’s important that they understand that not all clouds—and not all teams—are created equally. Evolve IP’s cloud services platform is world-class, and I’m extremely proud of our technology and our team.”
