Minnesota Hosting Company Unveils “Cash for Servers”

A play off of the government’s Cash for Clunkers Program offers a rebate up to $500

VISI announces an incentive for companies to replace their old servers with new dedicated servers.

Playing off the government’s Cash for Clunkers program, VISI’s “Cash For Servers” promotion offers a rebate up to $500 to anyone who purchases a new dedicated or virtual dedicated server and turns in their old server to VISI. Companies can receive up to a total of $3,000 in rebates with this program.

“We could possibly go into all the energy efficiencies included in new servers and compare how bad old servers are for the environment, but we're confident that money is the real deciding factor,” says Gary Elfert, director of products and marketing for VISI. “We're beating the government to this offer and don't need any subsidies.”

To further illustrate the advantage of a new server, VISI created a video entitled “The Incompetent Server” which can be viewed online at YouTube.

The promotion lasts through December 31st, 2009. Visit www.visi.com/cashforservers for more details.
