Novell Session at Cloud Expo Cloud Computing Expo - Novell is collapsing its four business units down to two. Starting next month, the company's identity and security management, systems and resource management, and its open platform solutions groups will be a single unit called Security, Management and Operating Platforms (SMOP). The move seems to be about selling more identity and security management into Linux accounts. Novell last week trotted out an Intelligent Workload Management strategy that unifies the security and management of IT infrastructure across physical, virtual and cloud environments. The company means to integrate ID and systems management directly in an application workload in a Linux-based framework to enhance the security of a specific workload and improve portability across computing environments. Commercial Metals Company Reports Loss of $0.32 EPS for Second Quarter

IRVING, Texas, March 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Commercial Metals Company (NYSE: CMC) today reported a net loss of $35.3 million or $0.32 per share on net sales of $1.6 billion for the quarter ended February 28, 2009. This compares with net earnings of $39.8 million or $0.34 per diluted share on net sales of $2.3 billion for the second quarter last year. This year's second quarter included after-tax LIFO income of $80.7 million or $0.72 per share compared with expense of $38.3 million or $0.32 per diluted share in last year's second quarter. LIFO is an inventory costing method that assumes the most recent inventory purchases or goods manufactured are sold first which in periods of declining prices results in income that eliminates the effect of deflation from operating results. Telkonet Announces 2009 First Quarter Results

Telkonet, Inc.
